Pharma Sales Rep Stabbed, Robbed of Tk 3 Lakh in Faridpur

A sales representative for a pharmaceutical company was stabbed and robbed of Tk 3 lakh in cash in Madhukhali upazila on Saturday evening.

The victim, Rabiul Awal Alfad, works for the veterinary division of Acme Laboratories.

The attack occurred around 7:45 pm in the Tarapur Kheaghat area along the Naopara-Bagat Bazar regional road. Alfad was riding his motorcycle toward Bagat Bazar after collecting company dues from local markets throughout the day.

According to Alfad, assailants on two motorcycles intercepted him on a deserted stretch of the road. They attacked him with sharp weapons, snatched the collected cash, and quickly fled the scene.

Hearing his cries for help, locals rescued Alfad and took him to the Madhukhali Upazila Health Complex. After receiving primary medical treatment for his injuries, he filed a formal complaint at the Madhukhali Police Station.

Mohammad Azam Khan, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Madhukhali Circle), confirmed the incident. "A police team led by a Sub-Inspector visited the scene immediately after receiving the report. Operations are currently underway to identify and arrest the culprits," he stated.
