A mobile court in Narail fined two businesses a total of Tk 12,000 during a raid at Putimari Bazar on Monday afternoon.
Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sraboni Biswas led the drive, which was initiated by the upazila administration to inspect legal compliance at local commercial establishments.
During the inspection, Habibur Rahman Sikder, a local trader, was fined Tk 10,000 for violating the Fish and Animal Feed Act of 2010. Another trader, Sheikh Palash, was fined Tk 2,000 under the Agricultural Marketing Act of 2018.
Upazila Livestock Officer Md. Abdul Momin, Veterinary Surgeon Dr. Tirtha Sarkar, and local police personnel assisted in the operation.
Magistrate Sraboni Biswas stated that these administrative drives will continue to ensure fair market practices, protect the rights of consumers and farmers, and maintain a legal business environment.
"We urge all traders to conduct their business in accordance with the law," Biswas said. "No one should harm the public interest. Alongside raising awareness, we will continue taking legal action through mobile courts against those who violate regulations."
