Man Arrested with Gun and Yaba in Pabna’s Ishwardi

Police arrested a man and seized a firearm, ammunition, and Yaba tablets during a raid in Ishwardi, Pabna, on Sunday night.

The arrestee, Abdur Rob (alias Abdullah), 56, is the son of the late Haider Ali from Diyar Sahapur, Ishwardi.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ishwardi Police Station, Ashadur Rahman, stated that acting on a tip-off, a police team raided Rob’s residence at approximately 11:00 PM. During the operation, officers recovered a one-shooter gun, 13 shotgun cartridges, and 64 pieces of Yaba.

Local sources revealed that Abdur Rob had allegedly been using his sand and soil business as a front for long-term drug trafficking and illegal activities. Police are currently investigating further links.
