The 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations began today in Pabna, mirroring the nationwide rollout. A total of 36,555 candidates are appearing for the exams across 54 centers in the district.

According to district education records, the examinee breakdown includes General Board 26,480 students, Dakhil (Madrasah) 5,329 students, Technical Board 4,746 students

The exams commenced at 10:00 AM on Tuesday with the Bangla First Paper. Since early morning, parents were seen escorting their children to the centers, creating a busy atmosphere around the venues.

To ensure a fair testing environment and prevent malpractice, the district administration has deployed executive magistrates at all centers. Deputy Commissioner Aminul Islam and Superintendent of Police Anwar Zahid visited several venues this morning to oversee the arrangements.
