Water Resources Minister and BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee expressed concern over the declining quality of primary education, stressing that a weak foundation undermines the entire education system.

Speaking at a canal excavation program in Uttar Joypur Union on Saturday afternoon, the Minister emphasized the government's commitment to modernizing schools and madrasas. "Primary schools are the foundation of all learning. If classes are not held properly, or if buildings are dilapidated and lack teachers, the future of our children is at risk. We are paying special attention to making this foundation robust," he said.

The event, chaired by Deputy Commissioner SM Mehedi Hasan, was attended by senior officials including Additional Superintendent of Police Hossain Mohammad Raihan Kazemi and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kathoypru Marma.

The Minister urged local communities to ensure their children receive quality schooling to secure a brighter future for the nation.
