Unidentified Body Recovered from Karnaphuli River

Police recovered the body of an unidentified man from the Karnaphuli River in the Patenga area of Chittagong city on Wednesday afternoon.

Locals spotted the body floating near Ghat No. 15 and alerted the authorities. A team from the Patenga Police Station arrived at the scene shortly after to retrieve the deceased.

Mustafa Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Patenga Police Station, confirmed the recovery. He stated that the body has been transported to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Police are currently working to establish the individual's identity. Further details will be released following the medical examination and preliminary investigation.
