Faridpur District Police organized a special awareness meeting on Thursday to tackle drug abuse, sexual harassment (eve-teasing) and child marriage.

Held at the Shibrampur RD Academy premises the event aimed to mobilize students and parents against these growing social concerns.

The District Superintendent of Police (SP) Md. Nazrul Islam, PPM, attended as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that legal action alone cannot solve these deep-rooted issues; instead, a unified social resistance is required.

"Drugs, eve-teasing, and child marriage are the biggest hurdles to a prosperous society," the SP stated. "While the police are here to protect you, true change begins when every household raises a voice of resistance. This is not just a meeting it is the start of a social movement."

The SP highlighted that protecting the younger generation is vital for the future of Bangladesh. He urged students to remain vigilant and encouraged parents and teachers to play an active role in building a healthy environment.

The event was attended by senior police officials, local dignitaries, teachers and a large number of students from Shibrampur RD Academy.
