Two Arrested with 2kg Marijuana in Bhola Coast Guard Raid

The Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested two alleged drug traffickers with 2kg of marijuana during a raid in Bhola Sadar on Sunday night.

The detainees have been identified as Md. Hossain (20), son of Md. Mostafa from Dhania Union, and Md. Main Uddin (27), son of Md. Shamsuddin Sardar from Alinagar Union.

Lt. BN Md. Abul Kashem, Media Officer of the Coast Guard South Zone, confirmed the operation. Acting on a confidential tip-off at approximately 10:00 PM on March 29, a specialized team from Coast Guard Base Bhola conducted the drive near the Dhania and Alinagar Chowmuhani areas.

During the raid, officials seized 2kg of marijuana, estimated to have a market value of approximately 80,000 BDT. The suspects and the seized narcotics have been handed over to Bhola Sadar Police Station for further legal proceedings.
