Two Arrested with Ganja in Coast Guard Raid

The Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested two suspected drug traffickers and seized a quantity of Marijuana during a pre-dawn raid in Bhola on Thursday.

The suspects were identified as Md. Harun and Md. Rabiul Islam (20), both residents of Ward No. 2, Charshamaiya Union, under Bhola Sadar Upazila.

Lt. BN Md. Abul Kashem, Media Officer of the Coast Guard South Zone, confirmed the operation. Acting on a tip-off, a special team from Coast Guard Base Bhola conducted the raid near the Muhuri Para area at approximately 3:00 AM.

During the drive, officials recovered 1.1 kilograms of Marijuana, estimated to have a market value of roughly 44,000 BDT. The arrested individuals and the seized narcotics have been handed over to Bhola Sadar Police Station for further legal proceedings.
