President Md. Sahabuddin, a life member of the Pabna Press Club, spent a nostalgic Sunday evening engaging in a lively discussion with former colleagues and childhood friends at the club auditorium.
The President arrived at the premises at 7:00 PM and was received with floral tributes by senior club leadership and local administration officials. During the two-and-a-half-hour session, titled "Come, Come, Pull the String of Life," the President abandoned formal protocol to exchange warm greetings with journalists, addressing many by their first names.
Accompanying the President were four of his closest school friends and fellow war veterans. The group shared stirring accounts of the 1971 Liberation War, recounting stories of youthful defiance and the realities of the battlefield. The President also took a moment to honor the memory of departed club members and praised the institution's long-standing traditions.
Key figures in attendance included Square Group Director Anjan Chowdhury Pintu, former municipal chairman Zahurul Islam Bishu, and various senior journalists. The discussion concluded at 9:30 PM after a review of the Press Club’s future development prospects.
Strict security measures were maintained by law enforcement agencies throughout the President's visit to the district.
