Martyr's Day and International Mother Language Day celebrated in Porsha

Martyr's Day and International Mother Language Day were celebrated with due dignity in Porsha, Naogaon. On Saturday, the upazila administration placed a wreath at the Shahid Minar located in Nitpur at 12.01 am. UNO Rakibul Islam led the ceremony.

Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mosa: Nabila Ferdous, Agriculture Officer Mamunur Rashid, Thana Officer-in-Charge Ziaur Rahman, Project Implementation Officer Mahmudul Haque Titu, DGM of Porsha Zone of Naogaon Palli Bidyut Samity-2 Muhi Uddin, General Secretary of Secondary Teachers' Association Shariful Islam and officials from various departments of the administration were present.

Later, prizes were distributed among the students of various educational institutions who participated in the discussion meeting, beautiful handwriting, quiz and drawing competition and cultural program at the Upazila Parishad auditorium. On the other hand, on behalf of the Upazila BNP, former senior vice president Taufiqur Rahman Chowdhury and general secretary Sadequl Islam, Jubo Dal convener Iqbal Hasan Shah and other leaders along with party leaders and activists laid wreaths at the Shaheed Minar. In addition, the day was celebrated through various programs in all government primary schools and other educational institutions of the upazila, said the concerned people.
