Christmas, the main religious festival of Christians, is being celebrated in a festive atmosphere in Paikgachha. This year, Christmas is being celebrated in 40 places in the upazila. Which is much more than in previous years. On this occasion, various programs including religious discussions and cultural programs have been organized in the missions for 3 to 5 days.

Upazila Executive Officer Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury said that 500 kg of rice has been provided by the government to each charge, including Catholics and Baptists of the upazila. The 5-day program includes birthdays and cultural programs. On this occasion, the missions have been decorated with lights. The streets and courtyards of the missions have been colored in the colors of Alpana.

A festive atmosphere prevails in the missions. Christmas is being celebrated in various unions of the upazila including Garikhali, Kapilmuni, Haridhali, Raduli, Gadaipur, but the most grand and grand Christmas is being celebrated at the Catholic Christian Mission of the municipality. Like every year, this year too, various programs have been organized for 5 days at the Catholic Christian Mission of the upazila headquarters, said Master Ananda Mondal. Mr. David Sukumar Mondal, President of the Upazila Christian Association, said that this year, Christmas is being celebrated in 40 places in the upazila.

After that, in the morning, various programs including the Christmas service and religious programs are being held in a festive atmosphere. Sukumar Mondal said that there is a happy atmosphere among the Christians to be able to celebrate religious festivals in a festive atmosphere. Meanwhile, Upazila Executive Officer Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury and UNO's wife Dr. Farzana Yasmin Lisa exchanged Christmas greetings with Christians on the occasion of Christmas.
