


As part of the nationwide initiative, the typhoid vaccination campaign was officially launched in Hossainpur upazila of Kishoreganj. The program began on Sunday (October 12) at the Hossainpur Pilot Girls’ High School premises, organized by the Upazila Health Complex. The inauguration was led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kazi Nahid Eva.
According to the Upazila Health Complex, the campaign will provide free typhoid vaccines to 58,706 children in Hossainpur. Vaccinations in educational institutions will continue from October 12 to October 30, followed by community vaccination centers from November 1 to November 13, targeting children aged 9 months to 15 years across the upazila’s 144 centers.
The program was presided over by Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Tanvir Hasan Ziko. Also present were Officer-in-Charge Maruf Hossain of Hossainpur Police Station, Upazila Family Planning Officer Anjuman Islam, Secondary Education Officer Abul Kalam Azad, Head Teacher Kazi Asma of Hossainpur Pilot Girls’ High School, and Dr. Hasib Khan, among others.
