Typhoid Vaccination Campaign Launched in Lakshmipur

A nationwide typhoid vaccination campaign has officially begun in Lakshmipur, with local authorities inaugurating the program on Sunday (October 12) at Collectorate School and College by administering vaccines to students.

The campaign was inaugurated by Md. Jasim Uddin, Deputy Director of the Local Government Department and Administrator of Lakshmipur Municipality.

The event was presided over by Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Abu Hasan Shahin, while Additional Deputy Commissioner Samrat Khisha, Deputy Director (Acting) of Family Planning Department Nazmul Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration & Finance) Hossain Mohammad Raihan Kazemi, and Medical Officer Dr. Nahid Raihan of the Civil Surgeon’s Office were also present.

According to the Health Department, a total of 629,978 children and adolescents aged nine months to 15 years across five upazilas and four municipalities in the district will be vaccinated under the program.
