Typhoid Vaccination Campaign for Children in Porsha

Along with the rest of the country, a free Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV) campaign has been launched in Porsha upazila of NaogaonTyphoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV), organized by the Upazila Health Complex. The campaign was inaugurated on Sunday morning at the Kusumkoli Government Primary School in Nitpur by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rakibul Islam, who attended as chief guest. Among others present were Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Nazir Ahmed, Head Teacher Shahjahan Ali, Assistant Teacher Hafizur Rahman, several health assistants, and local dignitaries. EPI Medical Technologist (MT-EPI) Shahabul Alam said the vaccination drive, under the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), will continue from October 12 for the next 18 days. During this period, 23,850 children from educational institutions and 16,743 children outside schools in the upazila will receive the typhoid vaccine.
