US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent Christensen has stated that the visiting delegation from the US-Bangladesh Business Council (USBBC) is in Dhaka to further advance economic relations between the United States and Bangladesh.
Welcoming the business delegates, the US Embassy in Dhaka shared a post on its verified Facebook page on Wednesday (August 12).
"A warm welcome to the high-level business delegation from the US-Bangladesh Business Council (USBBC) in Dhaka," Ambassador Christensen said in the post.
He further noted that leading American companies across the energy, technology, agriculture, and financial sectors have arrived to explore new opportunities and strengthen the more than 50-year-old economic relationship between the United States and Bangladesh.
Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, a high-level USBBC delegation led by Atul Keshap, President of the US-Bangladesh Business Council and Senior Vice President for South Asia at the US Chamber of Commerce, met with the Home Minister in the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Secretariat.
