Adobe launched a new suite of artificial intelligence tools on Monday aimed at helping corporate clients automate and personalize digital marketing.
The move is seen as a strategic effort to protect its market share against rapidly growing AI startups like Anthropic and OpenAI.
The new suite named CX Enterprise utilizes "AI agents" to manage customer interactions. This launch comes at a critical time for Adobe, the company’s stock has plummeted nearly 30% this year as investors worry that autonomous AI tools might replace traditional design software. Shares rose 2.2% following the announcement.
In a notable shift, the design giant is not working alone. Adobe announced partnerships with tech leaders including Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia, Anthropic and OpenAI. These collaborations are intended to ensure that Adobe’s AI systems function seamlessly across various platforms.
The competition remains fierce. Just last Friday, Anthropic introduced "Claude Design" an experimental feature that allows users to generate prototypes and slide decks directly through a chatbot a move that directly challenges Adobe’s core creative business.
