Al Wahda Foundation Distributes Free Holy Qurans in Paltan to Promote Islamic Teachings

With two decades of experience covering societal and religious events in the capital, this correspondent reports that the Al Wahda Foundation successfully organised a free distribution program of the Holy Quran in the Paltan area of Dhaka.

The initiative aimed to propagate the noble ideals of Islam, spread the teachings of the Holy Quran among the public, and strengthen the connection of people from all walks of life with the Quran.

The event was presided over by Hafez Maulana Lutfar Rahman, Chairman of the Al Wahda Foundation. Other key leaders in attendance included Senior Vice Chairman Maulana Sadiqur Rahman Azhari, General Secretary Maulana Mustafiz Rahmani, Finance Secretary Mustafizur Rahman Shahin, and Organising Secretary Maulana Emaddin Madani, alongside various foundation officials, members, and local esteemed elders.

Prominent figures graced the occasion as special guests, including eminent lawyer and social worker Dr Advocate Helal Uddin, the Chief Guest, and distinguished journalist and columnist Mr Rintu Anwar, the Special Guest.

Speakers at the event emphasised that the Holy Quran is a complete code of life for humanity, stating that following its teachings is essential for establishing morality, justice, peace, and human values in individuals, families, and society. They highlighted that the Al Wahda Foundation consistently implements free Quran distribution, religious education, Dawah activities, and public welfare programs to bring the light of the Quran into every household and build a Quran-oriented society.

Foundation Chairman Hafez Maulana Lutfar Rahman noted that the greater the practice of the Quran in society, the more moral degradation, malice, and social unrest will diminish. He urged everyone to follow the teachings of the Quran themselves and pass them on to others.

Chief Guest Dr Advocate Helal Uddin remarked, "Our goal is not merely free distribution of the Quran, but to create an environment where its teachings are implemented in human lives. The Quran can change an individual's life, and an ideal person can transform a society."

The program concluded with a special prayer seeking peace, prosperity, and welfare for the country, the nation, and the Muslim Ummah. The foundation announced plans to expand its Dawah, Islamic education expansion, and human welfare activities on a broader scale in the future, appealing for cooperation
