Nalchiti Development Forum Hosts Iftar and Prayer Event for Journalists

Nalchiti Development Forum organised an iftar and prayer mahfil in honour of local journalists in Nalchiti, Jhalakathi, on Friday.

Advocate B.M. Aminul Islam, chairman of the forum and Nayeb-e-Amir of district Jamaat-e-Islami, presided over the programme. District Jamaat Amir Advocate Hafizur Rahman attended as the chief guest.

Special guests included Sheikh Neyamul Karim, advisor to the forum and former MP candidate for Jhalakathi-2, and Maulana Md. Zakir Hossain Khan, president of Upazila Jamaat.

The event was moderated by Advocate Al-Amin Hossain, secretary of the forum.

Speakers highlighted the values of the holy month of Ramadan, stressing that the lessons of piety and self-discipline should be practiced throughout the year. They also acknowledged the role of journalists, describing them as a mirror of society who contribute to public awareness by reporting accurate and objective news.

A special prayer and munajat were held before iftar, seeking peace and prosperity for the country, the nation, and the Muslim Ummah.

Journalists from local print and electronic media, along with leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami at district and upazila levels, attended the programme.
