The referendum will be held mainly to ensure that no fascists are created in the future. Fisheries and Livestock Advisor Farida Akhtar has commented that "Yes" must be won in the referendum to ensure victory for Shaheed Osman Hadi.

She said this while speaking as the chief guest at a gathering held at Shishu Park ground in Jhalakathi on Monday afternoon to promote and motivate the referendum.

Farida Akhtar said, "I have found satisfaction in coming to Hadi's own district. A patriot like Hadi was needed in the parliament. The trial of Hadi's murder will be held on this ground.

We want to speak in favor of "Yes" in the referendum. Because, if the government is formed after the elections, the interim government wants to take some of the responsibilities that they also have with the opinion of the people.

May the implementation of the July Charter be possible, may the aspirations expressed in the July Charter be successful. The students have overthrown the fascist government through the movement and put us in charge. It is our job to implement their demands. And so the people of the country must vote "yes".

He also said, we have come to fulfill our duty. We should be able to tell the people that we did not form the government just to hold elections. We have also tried to get the people's verdict on what the government will be like in the future. The referendum is mainly to ensure that no fascists are created in the future.

The rally was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Md. Momin Uddin, along with Police Superintendent Mizanur Rahman, teachers and students, freedom fighters, officials of various government departments and locals.
