Health and Family Welfare Advisor Nurjahan Begum stated on Monday that the inclusion of "Bismillah" in the Constitution is a permanent fixture and unrelated to any upcoming referendum.
"Bismillah did not arrive recently, nor will it be removed. It will remain throughout our lives; it will remain forever," she told journalists following a district-level view-exchange meeting at the Pabna Circuit House.
Addressing concerns raised by various political parties regarding the election environment, the Advisor dismissed claims of instability. She assured the public that the election environment remains secure and that polls will be conducted at the scheduled time in a festive atmosphere.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Shahed Mustafa, with Health Secretary Saidur Rahman attending as a special guest. Other notable attendees included Superintendent of Police Anwar Zahid, District Civil Surgeon Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, and District Council CEO Mahfuza Sultana.
Following the session, the Advisor visited Pabna Edward College to inspect campaign vehicles and activities related to the referendum.
