BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s health remains stable as she continues her treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. Her personal physician and BNP Standing Committee member, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, provided an update on Thursday, expressing optimism regarding her recovery process.
According to Dr. Zahid, there has been no significant deterioration in her condition over the past few days. He noted that the former Prime Minister is responding to the prescribed treatments as expected. "Her condition is stable, Alhamdulillah... Insha’Allah, Madam Begum Khaleda Zia will gradually recover," he stated during a press briefing outside the hospital.
Her physical condition has remained consistent over the last few days, which medical professionals view as a positive sign.
She has been at Evercare Hospital since November 23, following various health complications.
Due to the complexity of her multiple health issues, she was moved to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) on November 27.
Her recovery is being monitored by a specialized medical board led by Professor Shahabuddin Talukder, which includes a collaborative team of both local and international specialists.
