The pre-registration process for those wishing to perform the holy Hajj in 2027 officially began on Wednesday (July 1), according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The ministry said intending pilgrims must complete pre-registration by September 26, in line with the schedule set by the Saudi Arabian government. It urged all interested applicants to complete the process within the deadline.

The official Hajj 2027 schedule was announced at a ceremony in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on May 29. Bangladesh's Minister of Religious Affairs, Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaikobad), attended the event as an invited guest. During the ceremony, Dr. Al Hassan bin Yahya Al Manakhrah, Assistant Minister of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, formally handed over the Hajj schedule to the minister.

According to the schedule, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia will sign the bilateral Hajj agreement on November 8. Hajj visa issuance is expected to begin on January 28, 2027, while flights carrying Bangladeshi pilgrims are scheduled to start on April 8, 2027.

The holy Hajj is expected to take place on May 15, 2027, subject to the sighting of the moon.
