Government Approves 2,258 New Posts for Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)

The government has approved the creation of 2,258 new posts for the paramilitary force Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

According to a notification from the Home Ministry, these new positions are designated for three BGB battalions and one hospital facility. Specifically, 742 posts will be created for each of the new battalions located at Bhuruingamari (Kurigram), Thanchi (Bandarban), and Meherpur districts. An additional 32 posts are allocated to the Border Guard Hospital in Guimara Upazila (Khagrachhari).

With the creation of these 2,258 new posts, the total sanctioned manpower of the BGB will increase to 59,735.
