The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) is expected to set the date for its verdict tomorrow in the high-profile case over crimes against humanity committed during the July uprising.

The case involves ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, and former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun (who later became an approver).

Prosecutor Mizanul Islam announced that the defense counsels for the absconding accused (Hasina and Kamal) and the lawyer for approver Mamun concluded their arguments today.

Tomorrow, the prosecution, led by the chief prosecutor and the attorney general, will present their final reply and concluding statements before the three-member Tribunal-1, headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder, which is then expected to formally set the verdict date.
