


A prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has been relieved of his duties, while two new prosecutors have been appointed.
The information was confirmed in separate letters signed by Joint Secretary (GP-PP) of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sana Md. Mahruf Hossain, on Monday (March 9).
According to one letter, Md. Saimum Reza Talukder, a prosecutor at the ICT Chief Prosecutor’s Office with the rank of Assistant Attorney General, has been relieved from his post after his resignation was accepted.
Another letter states that lawyers Marjina Raihan (Medina) and Mohammad Zahirul Amin have been appointed as prosecutors, holding the rank of Deputy Attorney General, to conduct cases at the tribunal until further orders.
