97 Ordinances Converted into Laws in Bangladesh Parliament

The Law Ministry announced on Tuesday (April 21) that the majority of recent ordinances have been successfully transitioned into formal legislation. Out of 133 ordinances presented to the National Assembly, 97 have been passed as laws in their original bill format.

According to the ministry's notification, the legislative breakdown is as follows 97 Ordinances Converted directly into laws without changes. 13 Ordinances Passed as laws with specific amendments.

7 Ordinances Formally repealed and taken into official custody. 16 Ordinances Currently held for further review based on Special Committee recommendations.

The Law Ministry stated that the remaining 16 ordinances will undergo additional scrutiny before further action is taken.
