State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain stated on Saturday that the country’s commodity market remains normal and stable ahead of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr.

The Minister made these remarks during an inspection of wholesale and retail markets in the capital’s Shyambazar area. He was accompanied by officials from the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP).

During the visit, the State Minister urged traders to maintain fair pricing. He warned that the administration would maintain strict surveillance to prevent any attempts to destabilize the market through illegal hoarding during the festive season.

Addressing infrastructure concerns, the Minister noted that the government is actively working to resolve the current gas crisis, with effective measures expected to be implemented before Eid.
