The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) cabinet will be formed with a combination of young and old, said Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed (Bir Bikram), a member of the party's standing committee and winner of Bhola-3 constituency.

He spoke about this at a discussion organized on the occasion of the 42nd death anniversary of General (retd) MAG Osmani, the Chief Commander of the Liberation War, at Rawa Club on Monday afternoon.

Major Hafiz said that only those who have fought and struggled against the fascist government will get a place in the cabinet. Only those who have no history of corruption and are trusted by the people will get a place.

The cabinet will be formed with a combination of young and old.

The people of this country gave the gift of the fairest election in the history of the country on February 12. If any attempt is made to lead this country astray, it will be resisted unitedly. Gratitude to the military for helping to hold the elections smoothly.

Without their help in the country's difficult times, this election would not have been possible, commented the BNP leader.

Hafiz Uddin Ahmed expects that they (the 11-party alliance) will play a strong role as the opposition party in the next parliament.
