Election environment very positive: EU chief observer

The environment of the 13th National Parliament elections is very positive, said Evers Ijabs, head of the European Union (EU) election observation team. He said this at a media briefing on Tuesday (February 10) morning.

Stating that the security arrangements for the elections are good, Evers Ijabs said that short-term EU observers will be in the field from today.

He said that the current election environment is very positive. Although some issues need to be discussed. However, the overall environment is promising.

The head of the EU election observation team said that the EU is emphasizing participatory elections, where minorities and women will participate.
