The 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will begin on April 21, with theoretical papers concluding on May 20.

The Inter-Board Coordination Committee approved the schedule on Thursday, which was subsequently released by the Dhaka Education Board. Following the theory exams, practical tests are scheduled to take place from June 7 to June 14.

All theoretical exams will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Candidates must enter the exam hall at least 30 minutes before the start time.

Students must collect their admit cards from their respective school heads at least three days before the exams begin.

Students must pass the theoretical, multiple-choice (MCQ), and practical components separately.

General scientific calculators are allowed. However, mobile phones are strictly prohibited for everyone except the center secretary.

The 2026 examinations for regular candidates will be based on a shortened syllabus. This decision follows the scrapping of the new curriculum that these students initially studied in the ninth grade.

Conversely, irregular and improvement candidates must sit for the exams based on the full syllabus.
