Presidential Poll Prep Meeting Today at Sangsad Bhaban

A preparatory meeting for the upcoming presidential election will be held today at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, chaired by Acting Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal, according to a press release from the Parliament Secretariat.

The Election Commission (EC) announced the election schedule on August 6. As per schedule dates: Nomination submission deadline: August 13 Scrutiny of nomination papers: August 16 Candidature withdrawal deadline: 4:00 pm, August 18 Voting: 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, August 20, at the Jatiya Sangsad session chamber

The meeting marks a key step ahead of the presidential election, which will be held through voting by members of parliament inside the Sangsad session chamber as per constitutional procedure.

Further updates on candidate nominations and campaign developments are expected in the coming days as the EC moves forward with the schedule.
