US-brokered talks in the United Arab Emirates aimed at ending Moscow's nearly four-year invasion of Ukraine have begun.

Ukrainian and Russian negotiators took part in a second day of talks on Thursday (February 5), AFP news agency reported from the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.

"The second day of talks in Abu Dhabi has begun. We are working in the same framework as yesterday. And that is - tripartite consultations, group work and later coordination of positions," said Ukraine's chief negotiator Rustem Umerov.
