Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has stunned fans with an unrecognizable new look. Breaking away from his signature action-hero persona, Cruise stars in the upcoming black comedy Digger as "Digger Rockwell"—an eccentric, elderly oil businessman with a bald head and a pot belly. Since Warner Bros.

Released the first glimpse of the film, Cruise's dramatic transformation has sparked massive discussion on social media. Many viewers have struggled to recognize the actor at first glance, calling it one of the boldest and most exceptional choices of his 46-year career.

Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu, the film presented a high-wire acting challenge. For Cruise, who has dominated the action genre for decades, stepping into such a bizarre and comedic role provided a fresh cinematic experience. Produced by Warner Bros., Digger is scheduled to hit global theaters on October 2, 2026.
