Following recent discussions surrounding Arijit Singh’s career pace, popular singer Shreya Ghoshal has hinted at a possible hiatus from playback singing.

In a recent interview with Indian media, the melody queen expressed feeling "tired" and shared her thoughts on taking a temporary break. Shreya noted that keeping up with rapid changes in the music industry isn't always enjoyable, particularly regarding live performances.

The singer took a firm stand against the growing trend of "lip-syncing" and mechanical vocal manipulation during concerts. "The day I have to stand on stage and lip-sync is the day I will quit singing," she stated.

Referencing the pressures of the industry, Shreya mentioned that, like Arijit Singh, she also feels the need to step back occasionally to recharge. While fans were recently stirred by rumors of Arijit’s retirement following a social media post about limiting new projects, Shreya’s comments suggest a similar desire for artistic integrity over constant output.
