Law Adviser Professor Dr. Asif Nazrul announced on Thursday that the official gazette for the 13th National Parliament election results will be published by February 14. He further confirmed that a new government will be formed before the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Law Adviser made these remarks after casting his vote at Siddheshwari Girls College in the capital. He noted that if counting concludes early, the gazette could be issued as soon as the night of February 13.

"Newly elected Members of Parliament will be sworn in within three to four days of the gazette notification," Dr. Nazrul stated. With Ramadan 2026 expected to begin around February 18 or 19, the administration plans to complete all handover formalities before the month of fasting commences.

Expressing satisfaction with the day's proceedings, the Law Adviser highlighted the significance of the simultaneous national election and the referendum on the 'July National Charter.' He emphasized that this dual process is a historic step toward establishing a truly democratic regime in Bangladesh.
