


Netrokona Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Saiful Islam held a view-exchange meeting with local journalists on Tuesday to discuss law and order and the conduct of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.
The meeting, held at 11:30 AM at the district headquarters, was attended by 50 journalist leaders from the District Press Club and ten Upazila-level press clubs across Netrokona's five parliamentary constituencies. Netrokona Police Superintendent (SP) Md. Tariqul Islam was also in attendance.
The Deputy Commissioner outlined the specific electoral code of conduct and regulations designed to ensure a fair voting process on February 12. Following his briefing, the DC opened the floor for an interactive discussion where journalists shared their perspectives on local challenges and election transparency.
DC Saiful Islam addressed various queries regarding administrative neutrality, while SP Tariqul Islam detailed the security measures in place to maintain order. Other notable speakers included District Press Club General Secretary Md. Abdul Halim and Mohanganj Upazila Press Club General Secretary Masum Ahmed. Representatives from Madan, Khaliajuri, Durgapur, Kendua, Atpara, and Barhatta upazilas were also present.
