


Thousands of men and women flocked to the election rally of Abdul Gafur, the parliamentary candidate for Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Kushtia-2 (Bheramara-Mirpur) constituency. The rally was held in Bheramara town on Monday (February 9) afternoon.
Led by acting Ameer Md. Abdul Gafur, the rally started from the Bheramara Government Pilot High School grounds, circled the main road of the town and in front of the Women's College and ended at the same place.
The program was attended by Kushtia District Jamaat Education Secretary Dr. Nurul Amin Jasim, NCP Japan Coordinator Engineer Syeda Shammi Akhter Sweet, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis Kushtia Nayeb Ami Munshi Mainul Haque, Bheramara Upazila Amir Md. Jalal Uddin, Mirpur Upazila Amir Khandaker Rezaul Karim, General Secretary Shafiqul Alam, Co-Secretary Tariq Ahmed, Tariq Rahman and others. Thousands of leaders, activists and supporters of the scales participated. MP candidate Abdul Gafur said, the tide of Jamaat has started all around. From cities to villages, the voices of the people are only echoing the scales. We are going to the people peacefully, but our leaders and activists are being intimidated in various ways.
Efforts are being made to obstruct the spontaneous participation of the common people. He sought the intervention of the administration to ensure a fair and impartial electoral environment.
