Shama Obaid Islam (Rinku), BNP Organizing Secretary and candidate for Faridpur-2, delivered an emotional appeal to voters during a massive election rally at Nagarkanda Mahendra Narayan Academy ground on Sunday afternoon.

Breaking into tears while paying tribute to her father, the late former BNP Secretary General KM Obaidur Rahman, Shama Obaid recalled how he protected the people of Nagarkanda and Saltha regardless of their background. She pledged to uphold his legacy by ending extortion and corruption in the region.

"If elected, I will ensure farmers receive government services directly through cards, preventing corrupt middlemen from exploiting them," she told the crowd, which had gathered in large numbers by 4 PM. She further promised to transform Nagarkanda into a model municipality free of criminal influence.

Shama Obaid also urged citizens to remain vigilant, calling for "village guarding" after midnight to prevent suspicious activity during the election period. "If this sister of yours wins, I will not go to parliament alone; you all will go to parliament with me," she stated.

The rally was chaired by former Upazila BNP President Siddiqur Rahman Babul Talukder and featured speeches from senior district leaders, including Advocate Syed Modarres Ali Icha and Zulfikar Hossain Jewel.
