The National Fellowship for the Advancement of Visually Handicapped (NFAVH) organized a charity event yesterday at the Noagaon MA Majid Mia High School auditorium in Tongi, Gazipur. Funded by the Bangladesh NGO Foundation (BNF), the initiative aimed to support underprivileged and physically challenged individuals.
During the event, free educational materials were distributed to 20 low-income students who are either disabled or belong to families with disabilities. Each student received a school bag, writing paper, six pens and a geometry box to assist with their studies. Additionally the organizers distributed high-quality wheelchairs to three physically disabled individuals to improve their mobility.
The distribution program was attended by NFAVH Executive Director Selina Alam, Vice President Mohsina Akhter, Acting Headmaster Md. Azharul Islam Sarkar and local representatives.
The organizers emphasized that these community-driven projects are vital for promoting inclusive education and assisting families facing severe financial hardships.
