The decision was finalized at a meeting of the newly elected directors of the United Business Forum Panel, based on their consensus. The meeting was led by Amir Humayun Chowdhury, former president of the Chamber and chief advisor of the panel.

Amirul Haque, chairman of Seacom Group, was elected unopposed from the Town Association and Trade Group category.

The official presidium election (president, senior vice president, and vice president) was held on Monday (May 25) afternoon at the Agrabad World Trade Center in Chattogram.

The chamber’s biennial board election was held on May 23, after a gap of 13 years.
