Chhatra Dal Pledges Support for Students in Any Crisis

Laxmipur District Chhatra Dal Convener Abul Barakat Sourav stated that the organization will play an active and visible role in any national crisis to support the general student body. He emphasized that late President Ziaur Rahman founded Chhatra Dal specifically with the welfare of students in mind.

Sourav made these remarks on Wednesday (May 20) afternoon while distributing water and biscuits to the guardians of SSC candidates at Laxmipur Adarsha Samad High School.

Following the directives of senior BNP leader and former Lakshmipur-3 MP Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, the district Chhatra Dal has launched various social initiatives. This includes ongoing dengue eradication and mosquito control drives across local college campuses.

Since the SSC examinations began, the local Chhatra Dal unit—led by Sourav and Member Secretary Hasibur Rahman Abi—has set up temporary waiting shelters for female guardians at city exam centers and actively distributed drinking water, oral saline, and biscuits.

Other student leaders present at the event included District Chhatra Dal Member Secretary Hasibur Rahman Abi, College Chhatra Dal President Ismail Hossain Roni, General Secretary Bahadur Hossain Noble, alongside several other district and municipal unit representatives.
