Bheramara Govt College Dominates District Sports Competition

Bheramara Government College college secured 8 championships and 4 runner-up spots as confirmed during the certificate award ceremony led by Principal Professor Md. Abdus Sattar.

Bheramara Government College has achieved outstanding success at the Kushtia District Level Inter-College Sports Competition 2026, securing championships in eight categories and finishing as runners-up in four others.

The tournament was organized by the National University. On Wednesday, the college hosted a ceremony where Principal Professor Md. Abdus Sattar handed over certificates to the winning athletes.

The event was attended by the Secretary of the Teachers' Council, Helal Uddin, Sports Department Head Jahangir Hossain Jewel, and other faculty members.

The college clinched the top spot in the following categories:

Team Sports: Cricket

Athletics (Boys): 200m run, 400m run and Long Jump

Athletics (Girls): 100m run, Shot Put, Discus Throw and Long Jump

Additionally, the college secured runner-up positions in Badminton (Student Doubles), 400m run (Students) and Shot Put (Students).

The Principal praised the athletes for their dedication and for bringing honor to the institution at the district level.
