Police arrested two individuals and seized one kilogram of marijuana along with a bottle of foreign liquor during an anti-drug raid in Louhjang upazila Munshiganj on Friday morning.

The operation took place around 10:30 AM in the Dakshin Moshadgaon area. The arrestees are A. Mannan Khan (65), of Hat Bhogdia, and Sagar Khan (23), of Dakshin Moshadgaon.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided Sagar Khan's residence. During the search, officers recovered 1 kg of marijuana and a 750ml bottle of foreign vodka.

Police confirmed that legal proceedings against the suspects are currently underway. Local residents welcomed the move, noting that sustained operations are essential to curbing drug trade in the region.
