


The Phulbari Upazila administration organized vibrant celebrations on Tuesday to welcome the Bengali New Year 1433. The festivities included a traditional procession, a Panta festival and cultural performances.
The day began at 8:30 AM with a "Mangal Shobhajatra" (New Year procession) that started from the Upazila complex and paraded through the town's main roads. Before the rally a discussion meeting was held at the Baishakhi Mela grounds within the administration premises.
Following the procession participants enjoyed a traditional Panta festival. The celebrations continued into the afternoon with a cultural programme featuring local artists.
The event was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ahmed Hasan. Assistant Commissioner (Land) Samiul Islam, Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Zulfikar Ali and Municipal BNP Acting General Secretary Murtujaht Ashtin addressed the gathering.
Government officials, teachers, students, and residents from all walks of life participated in the festivities marking the first day of the Bangla calendar with enthusiasm.
