19 Candidates File Nominations, Single Candidates for Three Posts

A total of 19 candidates have submitted nomination papers for eight positions in the upcoming Bhola Press Club elections. Saturday, March 28, marked the final day for submissions, with candidates filing their papers to the Election Commission amid a festive atmosphere.

While the race is crowded for top leadership roles, three positions currently have only single candidates: office secretary and two executive member slots. Conversely, no nominations were filed for the posts of sports, culture, and library secretary.

According to the Election Commission, the candidate lineup is as follows

President: Ahad Chowdhury Tuhin, Nazrul Haque Anu, and Md. Omar Faruk.

General Secretary: Al Amin Shahriar, Yunus Sharif, Monirul Islam, Nasir Uddin Liton, M Helal Uddin, and Afzal Hossain.

Joint Secretary: Kamrul Islam and Jasim Rana.

Treasurer: Nur Alam Faizullah and Mizanur Rahman.

Office Secretary: Chhotan Saha (Single candidate).

Executive Member: Motasim Billah and Harun Or Rashid (Single candidates).

The Bhola Press Club election is scheduled to take place on April 11.
