UNO Inspects Padma Bridge Area to Regulate Fares Ahead of Eid

In preparation for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, Louhjang Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Farzana Bobby Matu inspected the Padma Bridge area on Tuesday to ensure a smooth journey for home-bound commuters.

While vehicle pressure has increased, traffic flow remains stable. Monitoring at the toll plaza confirmed that motorcycle lanes and other vehicle lanes are operating normally.

During the visit, the UNO led a drive to prevent overcharging on buses. Several operators were found collecting extra fares; in these instances, the administration ensured the immediate refund of excess money to passengers.

The Officer-in-Charge of Padma Bridge North Police Station accompanied the UNO during the operation. Passengers expressed relief at the administration's presence, noting that active supervision has made the Eid rush more orderly and affordable.
