To combat the spread of dengue before the monsoon season, Madaripur-2 MP Jahandar Ali Mia inaugurated a cleaning campaign at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Saturday morning. The MP launched the initiative by sweeping the premises and operating a mosquito repellent machine.

During the event, MP Jahandar Ali Mia, Deputy Commissioner Jahangir Alam, and Superintendent of Police Ehteshamul Haque personally joined the cleaning efforts with brooms to encourage public participation. They also distributed leaflets focused on dengue prevention.

"Under the direction of the government, we have started this eradication drive to stop mosquito breeding early," the MP told reporters. "Dengue claims many lives every year. If we keep our surroundings clean now, we can protect our community."

Additional Deputy Commissioner Al Noman, Municipal Resident Medical Officer Dr. Harshit Biswas, and various district officials were also in attendance.
