Fire Destroys Farmer’s House in Pabna’s Chatmohar

A fire destroyed the house of Amjad Haji in Failjana, Chatmohar upazila, Pabna, on Thursday morning, along with his kitchen, stored crops, livestock, and valuables. The blaze, which started around 11 am from a stove, completely gutted the house, leaving the family homeless.

Firoz Ahmed of the Chatmohar Fire Service said the unit quickly reached the scene and brought the fire under control, but all belongings were lost. He estimated the initial damage at about 2 lakh taka.

Amjad Haji said he suffered significant losses after losing his property. Locals have urged the government to provide assistance to the affected family.
