The Kotwali Police Station of the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested a long-time fugitive on Thursday (February 26) who is convicted in four cases and faces warrants in four others.

Acting on a tip-off, a team led by SI Khalid Hasan Tanmoy, ASI Sohel Ahmed, and ASI Mansurul Alam conducted a raid in the Chittagong Airport area. The team successfully apprehended the accused, identified as Md. Abdul Hannan, son of the late Haji A. Monaf of Momin Road.

Police sources confirmed that Hannan was a convict in four cases (Session-5581/19, Session-2689/20, Session-2065/21, and Session-1782/22). Additionally, four other CR warrants (CR-841/22, CR-2332/20, CR-1789/22, and CR-993/21) were pending against him.

Hannan had been absconding for a significant period to evade justice. Police stated that the process of producing him before the court is currently underway.
